Daily Sales & Picture Set Up

Hey guys!! Sadly I have listed zero new items today. I spent my morning volunteering at my sons school followed by taking photos of 50 items!

This is no small task, photographing is my least favorite part of this job. I have to make sure each item looks perfect, lint rolling, sweater shaving and triming loose threads. I find missed flaws in about 15% of my items that I didn't see during sourcing, so I always do a good check of each item. Then I have to measure everything! Here's a photo of my cleaned up area where I photograph everything.

I was able to clean out about 4 bins! A few people have asked if I have a professional set up so I thought I'd show you that I don't! I take photos on my mannequine against the blank wall, there is track lighting above pointed down and also a big window I open during the day for natural lighting.

Now onto the sales. Yesterday I sold 8 things totaling $124. My numbers are steady but I'd love to see them rise!

My biggest sale was an Anne Klein sheath dress, I got it for $2 at my favorite thrift. It's the third one I've bought there, they always sell within a couple days!

My shipping for the day, my husband actually helps with this part. I pull all the items and he packages & sends them out!

I put all my clothing items in a polymailer before the flat rate envelope, I also ship at 4 pm each day to try and get as much same day shipping in that I can. My feedback is proof that customers love this!

I'm going to list tonight and tomorrow morning, if I get all 50 items up a trip to the bins is in store! I can't wait to show you guys what I find!!

  3. Question... if you are buying all this stuff from the goodwill bins, how are you cleaning the items? I always wash the stuff I sell on ebay if i buy it from goodwill...looking at your incredible numbers, how do you sell the items without them being thrift store funky?

    1. Hi! Everything gets cleaned, most of it goes though the wash but a lot of it just needs a quick clean with a lint brush & sweater shaver. Hope that helps!
