Daily Sales + Branching Out

Today was fun! I woke up early and got a few listings done, then I noticed that there was a very large children's consignment sale happening a few blocks from my house. Normally these sales are cleared out before they even open to the general public but I thought why not give it a try! I was right for the most part but I did find two Disney Princess (Mulan & Aurora) "wardrobe & friends" sets new in the box.

When I looked them up I was shocked to see Mulan had just sold for $63!!! I grabbed them both for $14 total and already have them listed for $90!

Then I came home and did shipping, while cruising Facebook I saw a mom had a huge tub of plush for $20. I could see some Jellycat and Pottery Barn so I made arrangements to grab it.

There are a lot of organic loovies and a few new with tags, my return should be between $200-$300!! I never thought I'd be on the look out for plush but it might just be my new favorite thing! I actually just stole a Build a Bead shark puppet off my daughters bed to list, it goes for $40 and she doesn't care about it!

On to the numbers!

Yesterday I sold 5 items for $100. Slow and steady!

Nothing to exciting, I listed the Paige jeans and they sold within a couple hours via Global Shipping Program.

I'm going to focus on getting all my new plush friends listed tonight, I'll report back tomorrow.

Things to Remember

I spent my morning at the bins, I was so excited to share with you guys all my goodies!

Then I walked into my home and found that my husband and babies had pulled out the Christmas stuff and put up the tree. So, I'm taking tonight off and enjoying my family. Remembering that I have this warm home and that the presents that will fill up the space beneath our tree are there in part thanks to eBay.

Weekend Sales!

Hey guys! I hope you had a great weekend full of cha-chings!! Mine was pretty standard, nothing to exciting. I did get about 50 things listed and lots of pictures taken. I've only got about half a tub left of stuff to photograph from my bins trip last week.

Saturday I sold 9 items totaling $135

Sunday I sold 14 items for $275

It really feels like I've been grinding away these last few days. I can't wait to get a big sale! My numbers are all evened out though, so I am thankful for these bread and butter days!

My goal this month is to hit $6,000. So far I've sold 189 for $3,177 which is right on track. I do plan on doing a monthly report at the end of the month to show my gross net after shipping, fees & cost of goods.

Anyways, I'm off to listing land! Tomorrow is a trip to the bins so I'll share my goodies with you guys tomorrow night!

A trip to the bins!

What a great day! I spent about 3 hours at the bins today and did amazing. I spent a total of $96 for 147 items.

The craziest thing I purchased today was this Mickey Mouse (I think he is riding a train) "cuddle rug" sleeping bag. The big issue is I can't find any information on it, I still think it was worth the risk!

Look at this head!

TopShop is a trendy higher priced brand, resale prices are all over the place but I'll estimate getting about $40 for this dress.

Boden is a brand I'll always buy, their children's line Mini Boden goes for high prices. The adult pieces do well to. Estimated price $30

Vince is another trendy high end brand that has great basics. I need to check the fabric content on this piece, but I'll guess around $35 without doing any research.

Lululemon pants! Remember these have pullout tags so most of the time the only way to recognize the brand is by the little logo. The size will be hidden in a pocket.
Estimated price: $50

A North Face Down jacket! I found this gem hidden under a huge pile of blankets in a bin that had been out for a while. Remember to dig. Estimated price: $60 because it has a very small pinhead sized hole on the sleeve.

Eileen Fisher is one of my favorite brands to pick, I can't wait for a fast high dollar flip. I was worried that the small size would make it a hard sell but it looks like I can still expect around $60!

This Mountain Hardwear jacket just sold on eBay a couple days ago for $70!

Vintage Pendleton wool flannels are always a hit!! Double check for moth holes, but even in rough shape these will sell. Estimated price: $30

I knew nothing of this brand, Novica Collection, before today. I saw the Alpaca blend fabric label and knew to grab it. I'm glad I did! Estimated price: $50

BUY HANNA ANDERSSON PAJAMAS! Seriously, especially the Disney ones! These basic ones will sell for around $20 but the lincesed ones sell for up to $50-$60!

Last up is this Ted Baker shirt, I found it in the pile with the top shop dress. Estimated price: $50

I hope this has been helpful and that this weekend is a great thrifting weekend for us all!

Daily Sales

Good Morning!!

Adjusting to life without a nanny has been interesting this week! I feel like I've gotten almost nothing done. Thankfully my store has been busy enough to be sustainable. My husband is off today so I'm going to spend about 6 hours at the bins later on, which will hopefully give me enough merchandise to cover the week. Anyways, here's what's I've been selling:

Monday 16 items $270

Tuesday 10 items for $230

Wednesday $140 for 8 Items

My biggest sale of the week was this Ralph Lauren Polo down jacket. It had a small surface stain that I noted and sold in less than a week for my full asking price of $100!

Lastly, this jacket was returned last week but I just relisted it and resold it!

I hope you guys have a great day! I'll fill you in on my long bins trip later, wish me luck!!

Daily sales

Hey guys! This is going to be short and sweet, I've been busting my buns to get as much listed as possible. All my sales have been very basic bread and butter type of items for the last couple days and I expect that trend to continue through the holidays. People generally don't buy used clothing as gifts and during the holidays most people aren't out buying for themselves. If they see a great deal they might snag it but overall those big splurges just are not going to happen. If you're selling clothes try to think about how people are shopping. Remembering times like season changes or back to school. Always stock what retailers don't, swimsuits are great right now for that family headed to Hawaii that can't stop by a store and grab one. Anyways number time!

Friday I did $150, selling 10 items

Saturday I did $125 selling 8 items

As you can see nothing exciting! My sales for the month are still on track:

I've sold 96 items totalling $1619, so just over $200 a day. I really want to hit the 6K mark this month so I'm just going to keep pushing myself. I have 418 items listed and want to hit 500 by Friday.

I hope you all have a great week! Let me know if you're meeting your goals!

Daily Sales + A Trip to the Bins

Yesterday was great, I got a lot of listings posted (even though the eBay app was glitchy) I also sold 18 items for a total of $280!

The best sale of the day was the Lululemon men's pants, I purchased those earlier in the week and had noted that I wanted $60, after researching I settled on a price of $50 and took a best offer of $37. I'm happy with that sale!

I spent a couple hours at the bins today, it wasn't amazing but I did score on a ton of Athletic gear

I'm lucky enough to live in the same city as Nike World Headquarters so my goodwills are swimming in Nike gear. Along with tons of Adidas, Columbia & lots more activewear.

I bought some 50DD size bras, they'll need an oxyclean bath but should do well

I haven't sold scrubs before but I hear good things, so when I saw a pile of mint conditon ones in fun prints (I've heard brand doesn't matter, it's the print that's key) I snagged them.

I'm really excited about this vintage coloring books! I'm still trying to branch out some and I think these are a good direction.

I bought 85 items total and paid $52. Not my best haul, but certainly not bad! I've already photographed about half of my haul and I'm going to work on getting it listed tomorrow. There are some big changes at my house, my 5 year old is in Kindergarten but I also have a 2 year old. We used to have a nanny 2-3 days a week (my husband works 3-4 13 hour days a week) so I would use her while my son was in school to thrift & work. We sadly had to let her go. Once my daughter is fully potty trained we'll enroll her in monisorri school, my guess is after the holidays, but until then I'll be full time mom. I refuse to take her to the bins with me but I have no problem thrifting other places with her, which means I might be branching out some these next few months. Any tips? Thanks for listening to my rant, I really just want to record this stuff so when I get through the hurdles I can look back and see how far I've come.

I'll leave you with this cool mummy I saw today, nothing shocks me anymore at the bins!
